To teach Spanish around the whole world is my dream, and I started making it true 17 years ago, when I moved to UK. My first teaching experience was in Wolverhampton, a small industrial town near Birmingham, it was a challenging school for a new teacher, but it was there when I realized that what I wanted to do for the rest of my life was teaching Spanish around the world.
After my experience in Wolverhampton I worked at Sevenoaks International School where I taught IB Spanish courses, A-Levels and GSCE courses. In 2003 I crossed the ocean to work in New York, my first job was at Gompers H.S, a school in the South Bronx that taught me to understand kids that have been raised in very poor environments and with a lot of difficulties. After two years, in 2005, the United Nations International School hired me as Spanish IB teacher, throughout three years I specialized in IB and became a teacher trainer to implement ICT in the teaching and learning process. In 2008 I moved to Barbados to teach Spanish at the University of West Indies, I had the chance to develop the use of ICT in the classroom and continued training other teachers in the use of technology in their classrooms. In 2011, I decided to take another adventure and I started working at the University of The Gambia, my main goal there was to create the Spanish Department and to teach the Spanish courses that I designed. After my time in The Gambia, in 2014 moved to Thailand to work at Mahidol University International College. Currently, I am the Spanish program coordinator.
In 2014, I founded ADELEM a non-profit association that aims to spread the Spanish among the whole world, focusing in the countries that struggle more to implement foreign language programs.
